A small amount of data keeps Current responsive and safe.
Soundriver does not require a visitor account and does not sell personal information. This notice explains the limited data used when you listen to or interact with an evolving soundscape.
What is processed
Dynamic sessions store Current’s decisions, mix state, and chat messages so the experience can remain coherent. Standard hosting logs may also contain request details such as browser type and IP address.
AI requests
When a request needs language-model planning, the relevant mix context and your message are sent to OpenAI. Do not enter secrets, private information, or anything you would not want processed by that service.
Abuse prevention
Soundriver uses one-way hashed network identifiers to enforce request limits. The application does not store the raw address in its rate-limit database.
Retention
Raw dynamic sessions and chat are automatically removed after 30 days. Content-free usage and cost records are retained for up to 12 months for reliability and budget monitoring.
Infrastructure
The application is hosted on Vercel, stores application data in Neon Postgres, serves media from Amazon S3, and uses OpenAI for selected Current decisions. Each provider may process operational data under its own terms.
Your choice
Static soundscapes can be explored without chatting with Current. Closing a soundscape ends the active browser experience; retained server records expire according to the schedule above.
